There are two external competitions that members might be interested in.

Entries close in June for the VIGEX International Photographic Print Salon 2010. As the name indicates, this is an international competition, yet based in Victoria, and it is recognised by international photographic societies. This prestige comes at a price, an entry price, however if 10 or more people from the club enter, a discount is available.

Another competition, closing at the end of May, is The People & Planet International Photo Competition 2010. The aim of this competition is to select 55 photos to be published in the 2011 People & Planet: Social Justice & Environment Diary & Calendar, which raises money for Australian non-profit organisations. The top three photos receive a cash prize.

Following suggestions from a few members, a Facebook page has been created for the club which so far only replicates the posts from the main website.

If you already have a Facebook account:

Become a fan of the club and use it as one way of following what the club is doing.

If you do not have a Facebook account:

Do not use this as your only reason to create an account. The email list will remain as the primary means of communication with members. The website, and now the Facebook page, serves both as an archive of what the club has doing and as a means of promoting the club.
