Audio/Visual group

Audio/Visuals (A/Vs) are a special category of image presentation which are usually a presentation of a collection of images and video clips, usually set to music, and occasionally with a narrative or voice over.

Club members interested in learning how to create A/Vs (Audio/Visual presentations) meet on the second Tuesday of the month at Wadham House.

Audio Visual Group – Tuesday 12th July 2011

by on Jul.11, 2011, under Audio/Visual group

Dear All,

The Audio Visual group will meet on Tuesday night at 7.30pm upstairs in Wadham House. I am reliably informed that the theme of the night will be the start of the building of the ‘Autumn’ AV as well as showcasing any new AV’s that might have been cret=ated in the last month.

See you all there

Tuesday’s Audio Visual Group

by on May.13, 2011, under Audio/Visual group

Wow another fun AV evening!

We viewed and critiqued Mary’s Swan Lake, Alan’s Trees (without the lake), a wonderful tour in Tasmania by Stewart plus Peter’s Anzac Day Parade.
Rodelle’s first AV was thoroughly enjoyed and although it ‘broke the rules’ it was agreed it worked because of the nature of the theme and the audience it was intended for. Well Done Rodelle!! (sorry, we can’t post it on the website due to privacy issues).

Our homework (1) is to produce an AV with the theme of Autumn, to be presented at the August class.
Peter is already one step ahead. And after viewing his Autumn AV hopefully it has inspired us all to complete our own productions!

Last month three people volunteered to find suitable music in preparation for the AV of Andy and Rosie’s Indian photographs. The intention was to use this as a group project
One person brought the case but no disc, the second did bring the music but it was considered to be ‘too Indian like’ and the third person was absent.
So Homework (2) is , again, to find some suitable music for next month. (Roger plans to start on this production. See below)

Next month Peter is away but Roger has kindly ‘volunteered’ to take the evening – I’m almost wishing I could be there as it will be a great evening with Roger.
You will not be disappointed.

The Audio-Visual Group still meet at Wadham House on the 2nd Tuesday of the month! (except January)from 7.30pm however, the evenings are very popular and we have been guilty of NOT keeping the gallery and blog up-to-date.

However, we shall try to put that to rights.

Starting with – some new AV’s were uploaded to the gallery.

Take a look…..

Roger’s Royal Navy A/V

Roger’s Orchid A/V

New A/V Gallery

by on Nov.19, 2009, under Audio/Visual group

We now have a new A/V gallery to add to our ever increasing range of galleries to showcase members work.

The gallery can be found HERE. Please treat this gallery just like the comment gallery, go and have a look, play the video (You will need a PC (or a MAC!) with speakers) and make your comments as you think appropriate.

At the moment it may look like a Peter & Jill Myers A/V gallery but that is because I have yet to persuade our other A/V makers to showcase their work on the gallery.

So to all our excellent A/V makers who have shown their A/V’s at the A/V group meeting (You know who you are … Leif… Andy … Roger… Mary… Fred… Craig) and those who are about to finalise their A/V’s (You know who you are also!) we will be demonstrating how to upload your productions at the final A/V group meeting in December.

In the meantime please contact me and I will talk you through the very easy uploading process

A/V Group Meeting…Nov 10th 2009

by on Oct.20, 2009, under Audio/Visual group

Come along to the A/V group meeting on Tuesday Nov 10th at 7.45pm at Wadham House.

We will be continuing our look at members A/V’s and attempting to learn some of the finer points of A/V production using Pro Show software. If you have made any A/V’s, no matter how good or bad you think they are, please bring them along.

As with our last meeting we will dissect one of Peter’s latest A/V’s and look into the workings of the show.

The A/V Peter has produced for this disection is called “After Dark”. Have a look below and have your questions ready for the meeting…
