Workshop Night – Tuesday 21st Feb 2017

Tuesday’s workshop night is a hands on photography shoot in the city. Don’t let the title of City Walk fool you, there will be street photography, sunset photography, low light photography and night photography and all of the challenges that these totally different techniques bring. We will start with a short talk on the techniques of the photography that we will be conducting and we will have Dave Sumner and Anthony Yap providing assistance and mentoring those who are not sure or are struggling with techniques etc.

The night will be as short or as long as you want to make it but to succeed then you will need to ensure that you prepare your equipment prior to Tuesday and also take the following with you.

  1. You
  2. Your camera
  3. Tripod is essential for night photography (the club has several that can be borrowed, see image below)
  4. Remote Shutter Release is not essential but would be an advantage
  5. CHARGED BATTERIES in capitals because there is always someone who forgets to charge their battery
  6. Spare memory card (just in case)
  7. Appropriate clothing for day and night time

Welcome All to 2017 & The Annual BBQ at Brickmakers Park

Yes the New Year is upon us all and I hope we all had a great festive period over Christmas and the New Year. The first club event of the year is always the Annual BBQ and this year is no different, please see the flyer below for details.

The BBQ serves for a couple of functions, firstly it gives members a chance to get together and meet any new members who have recently joined the club. It also allows those competing in the monthly competitions to get their prints in for the Steward to collect and get to the judge. So, if you are entering the Feb 2017 competition then don’t forget to bring along your prints to the BBQ.
