Sunday Outing – 3rd August 2014 – Abbotsford Convent
Why not come along to the Sunday outing to Abbotsford Convent on 3rd August and grab some great shots as well as sampling the local fare. Entry to the Convent is free however the convent would appreciate a small donation. Everyone should meet at 9am at the St Heliers Street entrance . Convent location is 1 St Heliers Street, Abbotsford, Melbourne. A short drive from Hoddle Street, along Johnston St, see map below.
Please note that parking can be a premium especially on a warm Sunday and there is alternative parking in Clarke and Abbotsford Streets if the parking in St Helier’s St is full.
Sunday Outing 6th July 2014 – Melbourne Zoo
The next Sunday outing on the 6th July 2014, will be at Melbourne Zoo meeting at 9am at the Zoo’s Main Entrance on Elliot Avenue. There is plenty of parking available and the cost to park your car here on a Sunday is $2 for 5 Hours.

This is a great opportunity for people interested in wildlife photography to hone their skills without having to go on safari. We will have at least one experienced wildlife photographer who will be around to answer questions or to help people improve their photography. Please bring along your longest focal length lens and at least a monopod or preferably a tripod.

Bruce Postle was one of the greatest Australian Photojournalists of the 20th century. His career that spanned over 50 years included 29 years at The Age.
His legendary photographs covered the most notable events and people, capturing many moving moments in our history. He has been an inspiration to many who have followed in his footsteps.
His presentation will show most of the best of his collection of photos.

Next Sunday, 4 May we have a fantastic 1st Sunday of the Month Outing planned to Westgate Park and Port Melbourne, with a very special prize for the best photo taken on the day. This will be a great day with many great photographic and learning opportunities.

April’s Sunday outing will be a combination of Federation Bells, Federation Square and St Paul’s Cathedral for sunrise. Then a Lanes walk plus Lunch at Southgate and then a Waterfront walk.
