It is that time again for our monthly outing! This month we are going to the zoo to capture some animal behaviours and get ready for our August Set Subject: Animals/pets. The detail arrangement is as following:
9:15am to 12:15pm (or longer) on Saturday 18th June 2022
Location and meeting point:
Melbourne Zoo, inside the main gate (the gate off Elliott Ave, not the one close to the train/tram stop!)
Preparation for this outing:
- Book a ticket online before the day.
- Bring a couple of lenses such as 24-70, a macro for butterflies and a zoom for birds and close-up shots.
- Bring your own lunch or buy lunch at the cafes.
Parking is $2 for 5 hours, which should be plenty of time.
By reply email to Jenny Sui before June 15, 2022!
On 14th of May, we held a combined street and APS Photo Walk at Queen Victoria Market in the early morning. The outing started at 8:30 with 10 very keen members and their partners.
The market was already busy and buzzed with energy. In order to reflect the theme “Repair, recover and renew”, each of us tried our best capturing the positive and optimism of the future and people moving forward.
We met after 2 hours at one of our member Anthony Yap’s Common Ground Cafe and was treated with a surprise model shoot. Thank you Sim Chong for co-hosting the event in Ian’s absence.
More photos can be viewed in the outing gallery.
Our May outing will be a combined event of the APS Photo Walk and street photography. The theme for this year is: “Repair, Recover and Renew”, so we decided Queen Victoria Market will be a good place to photograph.
From 8:30am to 11:30am, followed by brunch or lunch at Anthony’s Cafe (Common Ground Cafe, 225-229 Victoria St, West Melb)
Leaders: Sim Chong and Jennifer Sui
RSVP to Jennifer Sui by Thursday 12 May 2022.
