Our ‘Through the Lens’ Exhibition 2024 was a resounding success.
The exhibition was viewed favourably with over 460 visitors attending the gallery. Feedback on the images was very positive with the words of one visitor summing up: “I loved them all.”
On Tuesday 21st March 2023, renowned Street and Commercial Photographer Matt Irwin will take us on a walk through some interesting photographic places in the city.
Date:
Tuesday 21st March 2023
Time:
6.30pm
Location:
Under the big screen, Federation Square
What to bring:
Matt suggested a variety of lenses can be used to shoot street photography including zoom or fixed/prime (50mm or 35mm) lenses. As we are shooting in the night, a lens with a fast aperture of f1.8 or f2.8 are preferred. Matt prefers to shoot with 50mm or 85mm, sometimes even a zoom. However, he said the key is challenge yourself with whatever lens you have available. If anyone wants to use their own tilt-shift lens, please let me know so I can inform Matt. A tripod is not recommended as we will be walking.
Parking:
Parking is available at Federation Square Car Park after 4pm for $13.00. Street parking maybe available. Please check parking signs for hours. Public transport is another alternative.
